The murder case against the former councillor of Matjhabeng municipality, labelled as the mastermind to plot the killing of then ward councillor and candidate for Meloding, has been postponed for a bail application by the Virginia Magistrate Court.
The accused made his appearance before the Magistrate Court today, in connection with the murder of Piet Moletsane (31), who was fatally wounded with handguns at his tarvern.
He was certified dead at the scene last year in September 2021.
Two hitmen, and the alleged mastermind were arrested for the murder of ward councillor.
The police made an intensive investigations, which led to the arrest of a 44-year-old man allegedly linked as the mastermind.
The case of murder against Sephiri Jan Liphoko, has been postponed till next week Friday, 13 May for bail application.
The suspect will remain in custody.
