Gogo Agnes Msweli, an 83-year-old resident of Nkombose Ward 11, was brought to our studios by her caring neighbor, who has been a steadfast support throughout the years. Together, they’ve tirelessly sought help from various sources to improve Gogo Msweli’s living conditions.
Gogo Msweli came seeking aid at the House of North Coast Radio due to the deplorable condition of her current living space. The house where she resides is far from habitable for any individual. Initially, Gogo Msweli was staying with her sister, but as her sister’s children grew up, circumstances changed, compelling her to seek alternative accommodation. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, she was only able to construct a shack, which falls significantly short of providing adequate living conditions.
Despite her efforts, using her grant money, Gogo Msweli has managed to lay the foundation for a two-room house and has gathered some bricks over the past three years. However, progressing further has proven to be a challenge, primarily because she relies on the same grant to sustain herself. Despite numerous attempts over the past three years, reaching out for support has yielded no success thus far.
