The recent launch of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) 2024/25 by the King Cetshwayo District Municipality Council saw a significant turnout from the Mlalazi community. Residents congregated to voice concerns and address issues affecting the Mlalazi area.

Significant financial allocations were highlighted, including the investment of R7.5 million in the Eshowe Mpushini Cemetery, benefitting 15 individuals through employment opportunities, and R500,000 for the Eshowe taxi rank. Various ongoing or completed housing projects across different wards demonstrated the council’s commitment to addressing housing needs within the community.
Mayor Xulu reiterated the council’s support for local initiatives, distributing seedlings and resources to foster self-sustainability among those actively engaged in Mlalazi’s development.
