Mr. A.T. Ntuli, the Chairman of the Inkatha Freedom Party, honored a victim who triumphed over abuse by dedicating a prominent home in the area. Accompanied by party member Mr. Biyela and other dignitaries, this act of dedicating the house serves as a part of efforts to provide solace to traumatized women, coinciding with the ongoing observance of the 16 Days of Activism, aimed at combating violence against women and children.
In a poignant interview, Gogo Maskhakhane revealed the hardships endured for five years in a dilapidated home, often enduring leaks during the rainy season. Expressing her deepest gratitude, she shared her overwhelming appreciation for the beautiful home awarded to her, her five grandchildren, and one child. ‘This gesture means more than just a house; it’s a sanctuary of safety and comfort for my family,’ she conveyed with heartfelt gratitude.
